House Tailors is a residential general contractor owned by JP Chojnowski. JP is a third generation Fort Worth business owner.  A graduate of Arlington Heights High School and the University of Texas, Austin, has linked up in business and marriage with Steve Chojnowski, a Michigan and Wisconsin native who came to Fort Worth to run the first phase of Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth.

JP & Steve purchased a home in the Berkeley neighborhood in 1982 and spent the next 28 years renovating and remodeling that home until they decided to downsize. Their new home is home and office and a showcase for their abilities in design and construction.

Steve started his construction career as an apprentice carpenter and has worked on projects in Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, Louisiana and Massachusetts.  Some notable projects are the Travis county medical examiners building in Austin, St. Elizabeth condominium s in New Orleans, new private club and press box at Fenway Park (red sox)

in   Boston Massachusetts, Sundance  Square in Fort Worth, the stable area and all the site work including the parking lots at the horserace track in Grand Prairie.

At some point those big projects and constant seven day weeks schedules  begin to loose their luster.

House Tailors is JP and Steve‚Äôs way of working at a more leisurely pace, being home to cook dinner every evening and yet still using all the skills and abilities that allowed Steve to lead multi-million dollar  projects.

House Tailors projects share several traits, the work is scheduled on a written schedule, all work in itemized on detailed spreadsheets and scopes of work are itemized to ensure homeowners and subcontractor all know what is being proposed and what is expected.

Quality is never compromised.
